Your mission

​​​​You will be responsible for producing Menhir Photonics lasers to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on manufacturing and production role focused on the assembly, alignment, and testing of compact, precision laser systems and small-scale optical components that require fine motor skills, careful handling, and strong attention to detail. It is ideally suited to candidates with practical experience in photonics, optics, precision assembly, or manufacturing environments. You have strong troubleshooting skills and can methodically identify and resolve production and quality issues. You thrive in a team environment but are equally capable of working independently and following detailed work instructions with precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in an ISO6 cleanroom environment

  • Perform laser manufacturing processes, including the handling of delicate optical components and the assembly of optical systems.

  • Align lasers and work with fiber optics.

  • Be a team player with the ability to work independently daily.


Scope & Accountability

  • Build, align, and test lasers following established work instructions.

  • Maintain and support the cleanroom’s stringent cleanliness requirements.

  • Contribute to maintaining and strengthening the company’s Quality Management System.

  • After an initial training period, you will be responsible for the independent production of Menhir laser systems.


Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Photonics, Physics, Optical Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Material Sciences or similar.

Languages
  • English is required.

  • Basic German is required.

  • Location: Headquarters in Stettbach near Zurich, Switzerland
  • Preferred start date: As soon as possible
